We have three 35 Ton Wreckers in our medium duty fleet. We keep a wide variety of trucks so we can handle most different job types, from transporting, recovery, redecking, winch outs, and much more.
Kenworth 35T DTU
Why a 35T DTU?
A DTU differs from an Integrated Wrecker (See our Heavy Duty page) in the fact that it has a Detachable Towing Unit. A DTU unit is meant for demanding recovery situations and heavy duty jobs. The DTU can handle very heavy units, like semi tractors or heavy equipment.
DTU's are known for their maneuverability due to their unique design. The unit distributes weight more evenly which enhances stability.
Smokey
30T Wrecker Unit
Why have a 30 ton wrecker in the fleet? This wrecker is perhaps one of the most used and versatile units in our medium fleet. This wrecker can recover standard cars and trucks, as well as much larger units, like semi tractors.
Smokey is a little out of the ordinary, as it has a dual winch setup, which you rarely see on a medium duty wrecker. This let's us do very challenging recoveries that require a smaller unit with large winching power.
The RV "Toter"
30T Transport Unit
Another specialized addition to our fleet is the RV "Toter". We call it that because it's sole purpose in life is recovering Travel Trailers, 5th Wheels, and Gooseneck trailers.
Our Toter has an airbag system that allows us to raise and lower the truck itself to fit under the hitch of a unit needing recovery or transport. This allows us to easily and safely pick up units that have damaged their leveling jacks/landing gear.
